Chilean Minister of Transportation, Gloria Hutt, visits Applus+ Automotive’s inspection center, as a model of quality and service.

Last Thursday, September 3, the mandatory technical inspection centers in Chile were declared an essential service and it was thus possible to resume operations after four months of the lockout. This way, said enclosures may operate without restrictions and must do so by complying with the sanitary and physical distancing protocol established by the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications (MTT), in order to protect the safety of users and workers. The Minister of Transport and Telecommunications, Gloria Hutt, explained today that “by declaring these centers as an essential service, all establishments are allowed to open back their doors and people comply with their vehicles technical and preserve road safety nationwide". The event was also attended by national and communal government authorities, the press, and representatives of companies that make up the National Association of Concessionaires of Vehicles Technical Inspection Centers (AgPRT).

The Applus + mandatory technical inspection center in Quinta Normal is an emblematic venue in the Metropolitan Region. Recognized for its quality and reliable service, not only by residents of the surrounding areas but also by users throughout the region. Chosen by the National Government as a model center, among more than 100 throughout the country.
